Legal notice for Appeal No. 22-02
Applicant: Timothy Bright
Regarding Parcel No.: 070-G10-011-022-00

An Appeal has been made to this Board by: Timothy Bright, owner of property commonly referred to as 500 Harvard, Bay City, Michigan 48708, to consider at his request, placement of an accessory building to be located in the back yard of the home and to be about a 16 foot setback from the principle building.  Therefore, the applicant is requesting a variance of about 4 foot separation between the principle building and accessory building.  The Zoning Ordinance of the Charter Township of Hampton (being Ordinance 36-A) requires a 20 foot separation.

On Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. a public hearing will be held in the Board Room or Hall of the Hampton Township Administrative Office at 801 W. Center Ave., Essexville, Michigan 48732, giving you the opportunity of having your opinion recorded on this appeal.  You may appear, authorize others to represent you, or you may express your view in writing.

The variance request may be viewed at the Clerk’s office Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 am or 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding holidays.  Variances or modifications have no bearing on private restrictions.   All communications must be received by the Clerk’s office on or before the date of the hearing by 3:00 p.m.

Hampton Charter Township
Lead Line Service Replacement

 Hampton Charter Township is requesting Bids for water service replacement.  Bids for the construction of the project will be received at the Administration Office at 801 W. Center Rd, Essexville, MI 48732, until 10:00 a.m. local time, August 3, 2022 At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The project includes the replacement of 150 water services through the Township.  Restoration of existing roadways, sidewalks, driveways, and lawns is included.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Fleis & VandenBrink Engineering – 2125 Ridgewood Drive, Suite 101, Midland, MI 48642: Telephone (989) 837-3280.

Bid Room at www.fveng.com. Prospective Bidders may request the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.  Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record. In order to be a Plan Holder of Record Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office.

Bidding Documents will be emailed in portable document format (PDF) at no charge.

The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.

A pre-bid conference will not be held.

For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.

The Charter Township of Hampton reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the Township.
